Much like Episode 1, my Episode 2 reread was mostly done in private with very few posts making it to the Tumblr liveblog – though my journey through Episode 2 was even more unusual.

Because of my feelings at the time as described on the About Page, I started and stopped EP2 half a dozen times over the course of a few years due to its particular emphasis on Shannon and Kanon making me feel like an idiot for never noticing…that, and my incessant need to take notes as I read meant I kept getting hung up on particular details (especially regarding how much Rosa may or may not have known in EP2), jump through mental hoops trying to satisfy my own logic, failing, and quitting for another few months before trying again.

It wasn’t until 2015 that I finally managed to finish Episode 2, after several years of trying and failing, largely thanks to Confession of the Golden Witch) changing my perceptions and renewing my motivation. But because of how long and strange this reread was, the EP2 liveblog proper doesn’t really pick up until close to the end. I am also going to share the never-before-seen Evernote files with my personal EP2 notes, to shed some light on my feelings and perspective at the time as someone angry at how Episode 8 ended without disclosing any answers…and to show the contrast with my feelings once I resumed Episode 2 and beyond with a fresh perspective on Yasu’s character.
