Even way back when I read Episode 6 for the first time, I loved it. At the time, it wasn’t particularly popular…between the introduction of Ryukishi’s self-insert and worst girl Featherine, most of the Episode featuring Chick instead of Beatrice Classic, and of course the ending confirming one of the most controversial and polarizing theories at the time (then-called “Shkanontrice”), there should have been a lot to hate about Episode 6. And yet, I couldn’t help but feel giddy and excited every step of the way.

From the memorable fights of the First Twilight to the Logic Error, the wedding crash, and even the whole furniture duel…the whole latter half of Episode 6 was so exciting that I didn’t even care that I had to concede Shkanontrice was true by the time it ended.

Every time I’ve reread EP6 since then, it’s never failed to get my hyped – making it tied with Episode 3 as my favorite Episode of Umineko.
