As I mentioned on the About Page, when I first started my reread it was meant to be a personal thing. Aside from the odd shitpost here and there, I intended to reread Episode 1 quietly to myself, taking personal notes on the side in Evernote as I had with Higurashi.

Because of that, I don’t have all that much Episode 1 content. Judging from the content of the aforementioned notes and my screenshot folder, what I did was read the airport and boat scene and then swap to the manga to get through the draggy introduction of EP1 more quickly. I swapped back somewhere around the time Maria received the letter and umbrella at dinner before falling off the wagon, only to pick up where I’d left off the following year. THEN, after presumably reading the rest of EP1 via the manga, I went back to the VN for my favorite EP1 scene (Kinzo’s study, system0), and then seemingly read from that point to the end in the VN.

At least, that’s what I think happened. Either way, the EP1 liveblog is a bit of a clusterfuck as a result of this strange reading, but I’ve nonetheless scraped it all together here for your (hopefully) enjoyment.
